RVR Invites 3rd-5th Graders to the “Shark Tank”

RVR is teaming up with students at Galileo School for Gifted Learning this month for our own version of the popular television show, Shark Tank, in which entrepreneurs present a business idea and ask the judges (“sharks”) to invest money and time into helping them grow their business and make their idea into a reality.

We’re challenging third-fifth graders to brainstorm a business or community solution they want to implement. The students will prepare a presentation for the “sharks” (members of the RVR team) that describes the product or idea and provides a plan that shows why the “sharks” should invest.

The “sharks” will then bid on these ideas and invest up to $50 in the students’ business or community solution. The students will continue to work with the “shark” until the end of the school year to make the plan a reality.

The fun kicks off this afternoon and the RVR team will help students every step of the way, from brainstorming a business idea, to creating the project plan to preparing to present their idea to the “sharks” on March 11, 2014!

See you in the tank!
